Memories - Iran is commemorating the 31st anniversary of the beginning of the Iran-Iraq war. On this occasion, many military parades have been organized throughout the country. Saddam Hussein’s Iraqi troops invaded the Iranian region of Khouzistan on September 22, 1980. Between 500.000 and one million people died in the war which lasted for eight years.
